Healthcare for All
The how is pretty simple. We stop treating healthcare like a product and start treating it like infrastructure. One public system covers everyone, doctors and hospitals stay mostly the same, but billing goes through a single public program instead of dozens of insurance companies skimming profit. It’s paid for through progressive taxes that replace premiums, deductibles, and surprise bills. You don’t lose coverage when you lose a job, and nobody goes bankrupt for getting sick.
Guaranteed Income / Economic Stability
Housing stops being something hedge funds and landlords gamble with. The government builds and maintains large amounts of permanently affordable public housing, enforces strong tenant protections, and puts real limits on rent hikes. We stop corporations from hoarding single-family homes, use community land trusts to keep housing off the speculative market, and treat homelessness as a failure of policy, not a personal flaw.
Workers Rights and Labor Power
Workers get real leverage again. Unions are easy to form, union busting is illegal, and entire industries negotiate wages together so companies can’t race to the bottom. Workers get seats on corporate boards and real support to form cooperatives. If you do the work, you deserve power where you work.
Education and Student Debt
We cancel federal student debt because it never should’ve existed in the first place. Public colleges, universities, and trade schools are tuition free, just like public K through 12 already is. Education becomes a public investment, not a lifelong financial trap.
Justice System Reform
We stop criminalizing poverty and mental illness. No cash bail. Fewer people locked up. More restorative justice. Money moves away from cages and toward housing, mental healthcare, and community support. Accountability still exists, but punishment stops being the default answer to every problem.
Climate Justice
Energy becomes public, not profit-driven. We build renewable infrastructure at scale, guarantee union green jobs, expand public transit, and stop subsidizing fossil fuels. Climate action shouldn’t mean suffering for working people. It should mean cheaper energy, cleaner air, and stable jobs.
LGBTQIA+ Protection
Rights aren’t optional depending on what state you live in. Federal protections apply everywhere. Healthcare, housing, employment, and family rights are protected, full stop. The government’s job is to keep people safe, not debate their existence.
Ending Mass Detention and Endless War
Private prisons and detention centers get shut down. Military spending tied to occupation and endless war gets slashed. That money goes back into healthcare, housing, and education at home. Violence should never be a business model.
Corporate Power and Money in Politics
Corporations stop buying elections. No corporate PAC money. Publicly funded elections. Real limits on lobbying. Aggressive antitrust enforcement. When wealth gets too concentrated, democracy stops working. This is about restoring balance.
The Through-Line
Every one of these policies comes from the same place: basic needs shouldn’t exist to make someone else rich, and people should have real power over the systems that shape their lives.
